The quiet, contemplative
lifestyle, lived within the beauty of Gabriola Island,
informs all my work.
Through large scale paintings, small 'suites',
and multi-media works on
paper, I explore the transformation of nature
reflecting
the transformation
of self...
A perpetual death and rebirth.
Through the folding and unfolding of the physical world, I seek to record
the thin skin,
stretched taut over the spiritual. It is the action of tearing back
the skin
that engages me.
Objects in landscape are rearranged to create
a sacred space,
becoming something other than they were.
